Police Chief Speaks on the State of Insecurity in Anambra

Anambra State Police Commissioner, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has underscored the importance of improved working relationship among security agencies in the state.
The move according to him, will ensure a unified response to security challenges, promoting public safety and upholding the rule of law.
The Police Commissioner stated his resolve and commitment to seeking sustained seamless coordination among other security agencies in the State.
He stated this during a familiarization visit to the State Director DSS and Commander NDLEA at their offices in the State capital, Awka.
He explained that effective coordination among security agencies could facilitate improved Intelligence Sharing, enhance the ability to anticipate and respond to security threats.
In addition to "Enhanced operational efficiency, streamlining responses to reduce duplication of efforts and improve overall effectiveness,
increased Public Trust, Fostering a sense of security and confidence among the public"
According to a Press Statement made available by SP Tochukwu Ikenga,PPRO, Orutugu believes that prioritizing coordination and collaboration is a proactive approach to addressing security concerns and promoting a safer and more secure environment for all.
