2023 Guber: "Let's Stop Ebeano Cabal" -- Chief Ugo Agballa

The State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Chief Ugochukwu Agballa has called on the people of the state to vote for individuals who have the moral capacity to judiciously apply state resources for the good of Ndi Enugu.

He made this call recently during the party's thank-you tour of the 20 Electoral wards in Nsukka Local Government Area. According to him, voters should desist from voting candidates who criminally defrauded the state of billions of Naira in the past.

He said: "always vote for individuals. The problem in Enugu is that we have been voting for one  party (PDP) for 23 years now and it has taken our state from its premier position pre 1999 as the most developed state in the entire South East and South South states to the least developed state in the entire Eastern region”

. Chief Agballa wondered why Ebonyi state which he said was the backyard of the entire Southern Nigeria is now more developed than Enugu State. 

"The reason is that for 23 years we have been voting for a heartless and iniquitous cabal who have looted state funds to set up private oil importing biz, private secondary schools which is the best in the entire South East without building a similar public school in any community in the entire state, they have stolen our money to build private universities, private telecoms companies and radio Stations and now same cabal want to bring back their leader-in crime through the back door as governor and you are talking about party. Don’t forget, I was in the same party and saw their evil plans for the state and left them for another party. The problem is not the party but the cabal called Ebeano.

“You must understand that to win election you must use a party as a platform as our constitution does not accept non party elections. Look at all the candidates and vote in the best that has a track record of transparency. Don’t vote for the candidate that was arraigned for embezzlement of Enugu State funds by EFCC not once but twice indicted by the National Assembly for oil subsidy scam. Ask them, why they should present a tainted candidate to Ndi Enugu. Have they not looted enough? Only Uche Nnaji APC governorship ship candidate will bring about the change we deserve".Chief Agballa said
